Player Auction Regulations

The Official IGCL Player Auction shall determine the allocation of eligible players to participating franchises for the respective season.

Only players shortlisted through the Official IGCL Player Selection Process shall be eligible to participate.

Only players who have:

• Successfully completed the Official IGCL Registration.
• Cleared the Selection Process.
• Been shortlisted by the Selection Committee.
• Completed all required documentation.

shall be eligible for the Official IGCL Player Auction.

The Official Auction Pool shall consist only of players approved by the Tournament Committee.

Players may be classified into categories determined by the Tournament Committee:

• Platinum
• Gold
• Silver
• Emerging / Wild Card

* The categories and base prices shall be announced separately before each season.

Each franchise shall receive a Player Purse (Auction Budget) determined by IGCL. The Player Purse, Salary Cap and Squad Budget shall be announced separately before the auction.

• • The auction shall be conducted by an Official Auctioneer appointed by IGCL.
• • Players shall be presented category-wise or in the order decided by the Committee.
• • Franchises may place bids in accordance with the Auction Rules.
• • The highest valid bid at the close of bidding shall secure the player's services.
• • Once sold, a player shall not re-enter the auction unless permitted by IGCL.

Players who remain unsold shall become Unsold Players. IGCL may:

• • Conduct a second auction.
• • Organize a replacement draft.
• • Allow franchises to sign eligible replacement players.
• • Retain the player for future seasons.

Each franchise shall maintain a squad within the minimum and maximum player limits prescribed by IGCL. The official squad size shall be announced before each season.

Every player purchased at the auction must:

• • Sign the Official IGCL Player Agreement
• • Accept the Code of Conduct
• • Accept the Anti-Corruption Code
• • Accept the PMOA Guidelines
• • Complete identity and medical verification

* Failure to comply may result in cancellation of the player's auction selection.

A franchise may request a replacement player in case of:

• • Injury
• • Medical Unavailability
• • Exceptional Circumstances
• • Withdrawal approved by IGCL

* All replacements require prior approval from the Tournament Committee.

No franchise, player, official or representative shall:

• • Attempt to manipulate the auction.
• • Submit false information.
• • Influence another franchise unfairly.
• • Engage in collusion or misconduct.

* Any breach may result in disciplinary action, including fines, suspension or cancellation of auction results.

• • Modify the Auction Procedure, suspend or postpone the auction.
• • Correct technical or administrative errors.
• • Interpret Auction Regulations and resolve disputes arising from the auction.

* The decision of the Tournament Committee shall be final and binding.
